Beyoncé has been making waves with her hair care brand, Cécred, since its launch earlier this year. After fans eagerly shared their own hair care routines using their favorite Cécred products, Beyoncé took to Instagram on April 22 to share her own hair washing routine, stating, “Now that Cécred is known for its quality and what it does for your hair, I think it’s time I show you all what it does for my hair.”
In 2023, the singer hinted at her new brand by sharing a photo with her natural curls and some test products in the background. Beyoncé has rocked various hairstyles over the years, from tight curls in the early 2000s to loose waves and sleek straight hair. Her signature warm honey blonde, paired with a range of hairstyles, has become her go-to look, inspiring many to visit the salon for a similar transformation.
In the video detailing her routine, Beyoncé aims to debunk the stigma surrounding wig wearers not having long, healthy hair by showcasing her own long and healthy locks.
Step 1 Beyoncé’s routine consists of fewer steps than it may seem. She starts by lathering her hair with Cécred’s hydrating shampoo, which strengthens the hair with hyaluronic acid.
Step 2 Following cleansing, she proceeds with the Fermented Rice & Rose Protein routine. This two-step ritual involves applying fermented rice and rose protein powder, followed by a silk rinse for added softness and shine.
Step 3 Next, she applies the hydrating deep conditioner, which contains Cécred’s blend of African oils and shea butter for enhanced moisture.
Step 4 The Moisture Seal lotion is also applied before using heat, which is intended to protect, smooth, and assist with styling the hair.
Beyoncé explains that she prefers blow-drying with medium heat and tries to minimize heat usage whenever possible. She uses an “old-school pressing comb” to finalize her routine. The Cécred co-founder also announced that her hair has never been healthier and more hydrated. “I’ve managed to maintain my texture and curls even though my hair is blonde, and my hair is thriving,” she stated.
